THE EDGE SPORTS LLC Dba D-BAT Virginia Beach is hiring enthusiastic baseball and softball instructors to teach various aspects of the game. The role requires conducting lessons, developing training plans, and providing feedback to players of all ages. Ideal candidates will have collegiate playing or significant coaching experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate young athletes. Flexible schedules and opportunities for personal growth are part of the position, which may require nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching baseball or softball is necessary.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
• Availability to work nights and/or weekends is required.

Position Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic baseball and softball instructors (multiple positions available) who can teach various aspects of the game, including hitting, fielding, catching, and pitching. Candidates with a strong background in pitching and/or catching instruction will be prioritized during the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group lessons for players of all ages and skill levels.
• Focus on techniques, mechanics, and strategies, while also addressing other fundamental skills as needed.
• Develop customized training plans to meet the specific needs of each player.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help athletes improve.
• Communicate with parents about player's training sessions.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and trends in baseball and softball.

• Previous experience college playing experience; or significant coaching experience.
