Job summary

Collier County Public Schools seeks a Supplemental Baseball Assistant Coach. Applicants must be 21+, have a high school diploma or GED, and provide at least one reference letter unless CCPS staff. A current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required; those with teaching certification may waive coaching certification.

First Aid/CPR/AED via BLS are also required. Further information about athletic coaching certification can be found on the CCPS site.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
