Job summary

Collier County Public Schools seeks an Assistant Coach for Boys Basketball at Corkscrew Middle School for the WIN season. The role requires current Florida Educator or Athletic Coaching Certification, or teaching cert holders may use coaching cert, and applicant must be at least 21.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and provide one reference letter (not for current CCPS staff). A Basic Life Support certification (First Aid, CPR, AED) is also required.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

• 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
• 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.

Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educators Certification.
