Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking a BASE Special Needs Assistant to support students with significant needs in a before/after school setting at Meridian Elementary School, Thornton, CO. This hourly role runs 15 hours per week with a 0.375 FTE and involves direct supervision, care, and activity supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, field trips, and safety, with required CPR/First Aid and a post-offer physical examination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with special needs students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support in before and after school (BASE) for students.
• Assist SSN students with daily routines, including toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
• Communicate with parents and staff; open/close building and secure premises.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
