Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Before and After School Program Aide to support students at Dix Street Elementary. The role provides morning and afternoon supervision, with additional hours during late openings, snow days, and teacher in-service days.

Training is provided, and starting pay is $14.94 per hour. The ideal candidate is at least 19 years old, holds a HS diploma or GED, and can pass DHS requirements, background checks, and fingerprinting upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• DHS requirements: Physical/TB.
• Background check/fingerprints upon hire.
• Experience with childcare/education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Before and After School Program operations and supervision.
• Support students during activities and transitions, ensuring safety.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Wednesday
  • 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Extra hours on delayed start Wednesdays, snow days, 2-hour delays/ school breaks and teacher in-service/conference days.
• Summer Hours – 30 Hours/Week but times TBD

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years of age and have earned a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• DHS requirements: Physical/TB
• Background check/fingerprints upon hire
• Experience with childcare/education preferred
