Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. in Texas is seeking BAS technicians to troubleshoot, install, service or program building automation systems and assist in commissioning and servicing building controls.

Responsibilities include programming databases, calibration, assisting GUI delivery, training client personnel and monitoring system performance; opportunities to work with ABB, Siemens, KMC, and other systems. Qualifications

• 2+ years of DDC/BAS startup, checkout and service experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, control systems and energy management.
• Experience with programming and troubleshooting in ABB, Siemens, KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell.

Responsibilities

• Program databases to meet sequences of operation per standards.
• Calibrate and checkout control systems; ensure commissioning obligations.
• Assist graphics coordinator with GUI labour for projects.
• Train client personnel on operation and energy routines.
• Monitor BAS performance and resolve issues.

Job description

BAS technicians with the ability troubleshoot, install, service or program building automation systems are all urged to apply. Other duties related to assisting in the commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers' recommendations, in accordance with company standards and contract documents.
• Perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensure that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met.
• Assist the graphics coordinator and/or provide the labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects.
• Instruct client/customer personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conversation routines.
• Monitor BAS systems, equipment performance and resolve issues.

Qualifications

Skills, Education and Experience:

• Two or more (2+) years of DDC/BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management
• Programming and troubleshooting skills with ABB, Siemens, KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems.
• Experience with pneumatic controls
