Job summary

Jobot is seeking a BAS Systems Specialist to support installation, programming, commissioning, and service of commercial building automation systems in Central Massachusetts. You will work with project managers, engineers, and customers to deliver HVAC controls and systems integration solutions across commercial facilities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on BAS/DDC experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret engineering docs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, or systems integration experience.
• Hands-on with DDC controls, field devices, controllers, and networked building systems.
• Familiarity with Niagara/Tridium, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Alerton, or similar BAS platforms.
• Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP networking, and control system communication protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC and controls-related issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, commission, and service building automation and HVAC control systems.
• Support BAS/DDC integrations involving HVAC equipment, lighting controls, and energy management systems.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, startup, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, sequences of operation, and engineering documentation.
• Configure and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based control networks.
• Support retrofit, upgrade, and new construction projects across commercial facilities.
• Provide technical support and field service to customers throughout the region.
• Assist with graphics, alarms, trending, and front-end BAS configuration.
• Document service activity, system changes, and project updates accurately.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and technical support.

• Experience reading mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license required
