Job summary

EMCOR Services Automated Controls, a division of DeBra-Kuempel, seeks a BAS Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning of building automation systems on-site and remotely for commercial and industrial facilities.

The role emphasizes strong controls experience, technical expertise, and excellent customer service, with responsibilities including preventative maintenance, start-up, service ticket documentation, and coordinating with the service team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; MET Technical Degree, MES Journeyman, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related building automation and mechanical controls service experience.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, and preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with control systems such as Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, or Johnson Controls.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on building automation systems.
• Perform startup, checkout, and commissioning of BAS equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace BAS components.
• Provide remote support to customers.
• Document service tickets and hours for assigned contracts.
• Coordinate with Service Team Lead for proposals or extra work.
• Communicate task status and hours to customers.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance documentation.
