Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Building Automation Project Manager in Minnesota to lead multimillion-dollar BAS/BMS projects from inception through closeout. You will work with an experienced team delivering complex commercial and retail projects across Minnesota, with a clear path to Program Manager as the business grows.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and local travel across Minnesota.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in Building Automation, Controls, or BMS.
• Experience managing commercial and/or retail automation projects.
• Strong understanding of BAS controls, HVAC systems, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building automation projects from inception to closeout.
• Coordinate internal engineering, programming, commissioning, and field teams.
• Maintain schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
• Oversee subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Support execution of multiple large-scale commercial and retail projects.

The Opportunity

We're partnered with an established building automation systems integrator seeking a Project Manager with at least 3 years of experience managing BAS/BMS projects. You'll oversee multimillion-dollar projects from kick-off through completion, working alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team that is continuing to grow. This role offers a clear and achievable pathway into Program Management and leadership positions as the business expands.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of building automation projects from inception through closeout

• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and client relationships
• Oversee subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and performance expectations
• Support the successful execution of multiple large-scale commercial and retail projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of Project Management experience within Building Automation, Controls, or BMS
• Experience managing commercial and/or retail automation projects
• Strong understanding of BAS controls, HVAC systems, and project delivery
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of lighting controls is highly desirable
