Job summary

Next Level HVAC Energy Management Systems in California is seeking a Control Panel Technician to assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels used in Building Automation Systems (BAS). You will follow drawings and specifications to ensure panels meet safety and project standards.

The role requires precise multitasking, strong communication, and collaboration with engineering to resolve issues. Maintain a clean work area, manage inventory, and perform testing and inspections as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent; 0–5 years wiring control panels.
• Understand basic electrical theory.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Uncompromising craftsmanship standards.
• Familiar with specialized tools used in electrical wiring.
• Safety-minded and follow safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels per drawings and specs.
• Follow company safety policies and control panel building procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and efficient workspace.
• Use correct tools to complete tasks efficiently.
• Interpret complex enclosure/sub-panel drawings and resolve issues with engineering.
• Layout enclosure cut-outs and wire IDs per design drawings, BOM.
• Quality mechanical work including cutting and mounting components.
• Conduct point-to-point testing and assist with customer factory acceptance testing.
• Maintain shop and warehouse cleanliness and inventory accuracy.
• Perform regular audits and assist with inventory control.
