Job summary

gpac is seeking a BAS Designer in the Madison, WI area for a full-time, on-site role. You will convert mechanical designs into complete building automation control packages, program controllers, and assist with commissioning from design through startup.

We value hands-on BAS/DDC experience, familiarity with BACnet IP/MS/TP, and proficiency with CAD tools like AutoCAD. The role requires on-site work in Madison and offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience programming, commissioning, or designing BAS or DDC controls.
• Working knowledge of BACnet IP and MS/TP.
• Experience with at least one major BAS platform, such as Niagara (Tridium), Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation, Johnson Controls, or Distech.
• Experience producing controls drawings and submittals in AutoCAD or a similar CAD tool.
• Ability to work on site in the Madison area.

About The Company

Our client is a well established commercial HVAC contractor with an in house building automation group that designs, installs, and services control systems for commercial buildings. They have a stable team and are growing their BAS and controls division.

About The Role

The BAS Designer develops the control strategies and documentation behind the company's building automation projects. You will turn mechanical designs into complete controls packages, support programming and commissioning, and work closely with project managers, sales, and controls technicians from design through startup.

• A degree in engineering, electronics, or computer science is welcome but not required
