Job summary

ATS is seeking an experienced Controls Technician to perform start-up functions on building automation systems per project plans and specifications. The role includes analyzing system performance, ensuring documentation accuracy, and providing project-engineering support where needed.

Responsibilities include DDC work, startup and commissioning, field coordination, training, and maintaining drawings. Local travel is required, with full-time hours and a focus on on-site execution.

Qualifications

• AA degree in applied technology or equivalent.
• Computer programming experience
• Building mechanical system experience
• Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
• Mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

• Control program use and management of trend logs, zones, alarms, and reports.
• DDC code modifications and checkout of DDC components.
• Start-up and commissioning of Building Control Systems.
• Record and update drawings; field documentation and as-build sheets.
• Execute field changes and directives; troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Training owners and peers on systems and operations.
• Assist Project Engineer with field tasks and coordination.
• Panel construction and wiring as required.
• Manage time to complete assignments within scope and budget.
