Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a BAS Controls Installation Technician in Houston, TX. You will work on installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of DDC building automation systems, collaborating with customers, contractors, and peers in an office or construction-site environment.

The role emphasizes fieldwork, complex system diagnostics, and hands‑on control programming, with travel to job sites and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• HVAC electronic/mechanical systems service experience required.
• Familiarity with DDC/Direct Digital Control building automation.
• Wiring diagrams reading and network basics.
• Travel to construction sites may be required.
• Military or trade school background accepted if relevant.

Responsibilities

• Fieldwork 100% on site.
• Diagnose and repair complex direct digital control malfunctions.
• Communicate installation schedule and progress with stakeholders.
• Forecast labor and material usage per project.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors during construction.
• Create control algorithms and upload to controllers.
• Provide customer training and post‑start support.
• Ensure project closeout documentation is completed.
