Job summary

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician in Houston, TX. You will install, program, diagnose, and repair environmental control systems using HVAC knowledge and modern BAS tech.

The role requires hands-on experience with BAS platforms and control logic, with the ability to troubleshoot and train end users. Travel to job sites within the region and safety compliance are essential aspects of the job.

Qualifications

Experience with BAS and HVAC controls
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Hands-on experience with installation, programming, and troubleshooting of BAS devices
Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks
Able to read and interpret control sequences and logic

Responsibilities

Install and configure BAS controllers, sensors, and components per design specifications.
Commission BAS systems and ensure integration with HVAC, lighting and other building systems.
Calibrate and test actuators, sensors, dampers, and other devices.
Perform preventive maintenance to keep BAS systems operating at peak performance.
Troubleshoot malfunctions, network issues, and control logic problems.
Analyze alarms and data logs to identify inefficiencies and improvements.
Provide technical support and training to clients on BAS operation.
Maintain documentation and service logs for all jobs.
Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
