Critical Systems LLC is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to design, program, commission and maintain Building Automation Systems for commercial, healthcare, and data-center facilities in the Rockville area. You will work with Delta Controls, JCI, Niagara N4 and other BAS platforms, applying HVAC knowledge and control sequences to deliver reliable system integration.

Responsibilities include developing BAS controls, graphics, alarms, and trends; performing commissioning, startup, and testing;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in HVAC controls or building automation.
• Experience with Delta Controls, JCI, Niagara N4, BACnet and Modbus.

Responsabilités

• Design BAS control solutions for HVAC systems in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Program, configure, and commission control systems using Delta, JCI, and Niagara platforms.
• Develop and implement control sequences, graphics, alarms, trends, and integrations.
• Review plans and sequences of operation to ensure proper design.
• Perform point-to-point verification, startup, commissioning, and testing of systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and field devices to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support during installation, startup, and warranty periods.
• Maintain project documentation, backups, and commissioning reports.
• Support scheduling and field activities to meet timelines and budgets.
• Assist in customer training and turnover meetings.
• Stay updated with industry standards and BAS platform enhancements.
