Job summary

Building Systems & Services is seeking a Building Automation Systems Technician to lead startup and commissioning of BAS projects in Delaware, Camden NJ, and the Philadelphia area. You will review project docs, coordinate with site teams, and ensure systems are installed correctly and safely.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC controls, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple sites while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead field startup and commissioning of BAS systems.
• Review project documentation and coordinate with site teams.
• Coordinate with job-site superintendent and startup personnel to ready equipment.
• Perform on-site safety procedures and inspections; ensure compliance with OSHA policies.
• Apply power to BAS controllers, download programming, and configure controllers.
• Test BAS hardware and software against desired readings and sequences.
• Document startup results and manage punch-list with project engineer/manager.
• Maintain BAS commissioning documentation package and backups.
• Provide technical support to Service Department and owners training.
