Job summary

New England Mechanical Services, Inc is seeking an Automation/Controls Technician/Installer to support BAS installation, including mounting control components, wiring, terminations, start-up and troubleshooting. The role requires reading electrical drawings and coordinating with other trades on site.

The candidate should have a CT license (D2/S2), 2–5 years of related experience or training, and be able to work overtime and travel as needed. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• CT D2 or S2 electrical license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2–5 years related experience or training.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Overtime and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan installations to minimize material waste and comply with codes.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
• Pull wiring through conduit and label.
• Mount and terminate BAS end devices (temp sensors, relays, actuators).
• Assist with commissioning, start-up procedures and owner training.
• Prepare sketches showing as-built wiring locations.
• Attend project meetings as necessary.
• Coordinate with other trades on site.
• Maintain licenses and safety policies.
