Job summary

Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery invites applications for a Bartender at Village Pub Bermuda. You will mix cocktails, pour beers, and recommend drinks to guests while delivering friendly, efficient service in a high-volume casual setting.

The role requires strong knowledge of drinks, cash handling, and the ability to build rapport with regular guests; you must pass Nevada health/safety standards where applicable and maintain an inviting bar atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Requires at least one year of closely related bartending experience in a high-volume casual dining environment.
• Must possess a valid Nevada Food Handlers Card.
• Must possess a valid Nevada TAM card.
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact with guests and fellow team members in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Comprehension of the English language both written and oral.
• Must have cash handling experience and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Mix traditional and creative cocktails.
• Make suggestions based on guest's tastes and preferences.
• Build a rapport with regular guests to foster a positive atmosphere.
• Process payments, record, and balance cash receipts, and prepare cash deposits.

Job Description

The Bartender position is responsible for managing drink orders to keep customers satisfied during meals or social gatherings. The Bartender will have extensive knowledge of common drinks, which they use to recommend drinks to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers, and properly decant wines. Bartenders may also entertain customers who sit at the bar by providing excellent customer service while also filling drink orders for other guests.

• Ability to work in environments that can be smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
