Position Purpose

The goal of the Cove Operation is to create a relaxing outdoor pool experience that encourages guests to visit often. Prepare and serve beverages for servers and guests of the Cove Bar in a speedy, efficient, friendly, and professional manner.

Essential Functions
  1. Taking orders from bar patrons & pool guests
  2. Mixing & creating cocktails according to all recipes & standards
  3. Delivering orders to pool guests
  4. Bussing and cleaning pool and dining areas
  5. Stocking all items needed for service, keeping inventory, and replenishing supplies
  6. Ensuring guests’ needs are met, and they feel attended to
Time Allocation
  • Average 90% of time: Maintain a clean & organized bar, create cocktails, pour wine/beer, circulate poolside offering service, take and deliver orders, stock and maintain storage, interact with guests.
  • Average 10% of time: Stock storage areas, run supplies, answer phones, opening/closing procedures.
Other Requirements

Regular attendance is essential. Employees may need to work varying schedules due to the cyclical nature of hospitality. Full compliance with hotel rules and regulations is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Minimum age to serve alcohol

  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work professionally and courteously with guests and staff
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • Understanding of alcoholic beverages
Physical Demands
  • Work outdoors in extreme temperatures
  • Stand and walk for long periods
  • Lift up to 35 lbs
  • Perform various physical movements (bending, stooping, reaching)
  • Visual and manual dexterity required
Qualifications

Grooming & Attendance
