Job summary

South Seas Resort in Myrtle Beach area seeks an energetic, guest-focused bartender for Tarpon Tiki Bar, the lively outdoor bar within the Bayview Pool Complex. This full-time role delivers exceptional guest service while crafting handcrafted cocktails, specialty beverages, and classic drinks in a fast-paced resort setting.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, verifying ages for service, and maintaining bar inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of bartending experience in a restaurant, resort, hotel, or high-volume bar.
• Experience crafting craft cocktails, signature beverages, and premium spirits.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and guest service skills.
• Experience in an outdoor bar, pool bar, or resort environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
• Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Food Handler and Responsible Vendor certifications preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Capable of working in varying weather conditions, including high temperatures and humidity.

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies as needed.
• Process guest transactions using the POS system and reconcile cash accurately.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and stocking.
• Work comfortably in an outdoor environment, maintaining cleanliness and bar appearance.
• Collaborate with servers, culinary, and other F&B team members to provide seamless service.
• Support operations in other South Seas restaurants, bars, and events as needed.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, and food safety standards; follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with resort safety procedures and report equipment or safety concerns promptly.

• Recommend featured cocktails, premium spirits, wines, and beers to increase guest satisfaction and sales.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies as needed.
• Process guest transactions using the POS system and reconcile cash accurately.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and securing bar equipment.
• Work comfortably in an outdoor environment, maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the bar and guest seating areas.
• Collaborate with servers, food runners, culinary, recreation, and other food & beverage team members to provide seamless service.
• Support operations in other South Seas restaurants, bars, and special events as needed.
