Job description

Position Summary

Prepares all alcoholic beverages for guests and venue servers. Actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests' bar/dining experience. Interacts with guests, team members, and supervisors politely to ensure gracious hospitality.

Essential Functions
  1. Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
  2. Provide professional and exceptional service.
  3. Present menus, answer questions, and suggest food and beverage items.
  4. Inform guests of specials and prices.
  5. Solicit allergy or dietary restrictions from guests.
  6. Enter orders accurately into the POS system and handle payments properly.
  7. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
  8. Maintain cleanliness of the bar and venue.
  9. Organize liquor displays and maintain par levels.
  10. Follow supervisor instructions and support team collaboration.
  11. Possess in-depth menu knowledge.
  12. Serve alcoholic beverages per state regulations and training standards.
  13. Comply with sanitation standards.
  14. Complete end-of-shift financial procedures accurately.
  15. Communicate guest needs to relevant staff.
  16. Set up bar stations and perform opening/closing procedures.
  17. Report equipment or furniture damage.
  18. Participate in pre-service meetings and training.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  20. Represent Tao Group Hospitality and its partners.
  21. Work as part of a team and support colleagues.
  22. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Training Requirements

Tao Group Hospitality in-venue bartender training.

Qualifications

1-2 years of professional beverage experience, previous bartending experience, and experience in high-volume settings.

Skills and Physical Demands

Effective communication, positive energy, legible printing, ability to kneel, bend, stand for long periods, move quickly, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must work in noisy, crowded, and smoky environments, with irregular shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
