Job summary

White Lodging in Austin seeks a personable bartender to deliver high-quality bar service in a fast-paced setting. You will build guest connections, master the cocktail menu, and maintain a clean station while upholding safety standards.

You should have at least 1 year of bartending experience, knowledge of drinks, and the ability to stand for long periods. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required; food handlers and TABC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality bar service to all guests — building personal connections through friendly conversation, intuitive drink recommendations, and a welcoming atmosphere
• Maintain a clean, organized bar station; complete daily bar cleaning and side work to health and safety standards
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of the full cocktail menu, beer and wine selections, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — confidently answering guest questions
• Ensure consistent food and beverage quality and presentation that meets guest expectations every time
• Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end-of-shift reconciliation
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, positive work environment
• Card all guests and monitor responsible alcohol service to prevent overservice and ensure liquor law compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned
