Bellefonte Café in Wilmington, DE is seeking a seasoned Bartender/Server to join our team. This role is best suited for someone who’s equally confident running a bar and taking care of a dining room in a small, fast-paced environment.

Our bar program emphasizes classic cocktails, consistency, and attention to detail. Availability for both day and evening shifts is required, with hands-on, guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with inventory management and ordering preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and reconcile transactions.
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails and foundational mixology.
• Attention to detail and consistency under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Take food and drink orders with confidence and provide thoughtful recommendations.
• Prepare classic cocktails, wine, beer, and house drinks with consistency and precision.
• Seamlessly move between bar and floor service as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace.
• Verify legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service laws.
• Accurately process payments and handle cash with accountability.
• Balance drawers and ensure accuracy in all cash and card transactions.
• Monitor, restock, and assist with ordering bar inventory and supplies.
• Communicate with management on inventory levels and product needs.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including prep and breakdown.
• Work closely with the team to keep service smooth and efficient.

Our bar program is rooted in classic cocktails, consistency, and attention to detail. Service here is hands-on, professional, and guest-focused-- this is not a training role. You should be able to step in and contribute immediately.
