Job summary

The Washington House is hiring experienced bartender/servers to join our team in Kentucky. The staff at the Washington House take pride in offering caring, knowledgeable hospitality and excellent food in a high energy, positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing and able to mix bartending, serving and private party shifts.
• Availability to work varied hours/days.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy plates, boxes and dining room furniture as needed.
• Experience building drinks and maintaining a clean, well-stocked work area.

Responsibilities

• Engage with each customer to make them feel welcome and comfortable.
• Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage menus and events.
• Set up properly to maximize efficiency during busy periods.
• Take beverage and food orders and enter into POS accurately.
• Create drinks following house recipes and measures.
• Follow restaurant protocols for Washington House service.
• Seek positive solutions to difficult situations.
• Prepare checks and collect payment from guests.
• Clean and sanitize dining and bar areas to start each shift with a clean workspace.
• Work with FOH, BOH, hotel and theater staff to maintain a positive work environment.
