Overview
The Bartender is responsible for setting up the bar area, mixing drinks for guests and servers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Process guest checks, handle cash, credit cards, and room charges.
- Perform opening and closing duties to ensure prompt service.
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to standards.
- Serve guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Keep lounge areas clean and organized.
- Operate the computer system efficiently.
- Manage cashiering functions and check closing.
- Follow all liquor laws and safety procedures.
- Assist in maintaining beverage costs and stock levels.
- Serve liquor responsibly and report issues with intoxicated guests.
- Prepare garnishes and clean glassware.
- Assist in cleaning tables and lounge areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hotel or related experience preferred.
- Legal age to serve alcohol as per local laws.
- Flexible with working long hours.
- Ability to exert force up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for entire shift.
- Previous bartending experience required.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
