Job summary

Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA, is seeking a full-time team member to join our bar and beverage program. The role involves preparing drinks, operating the POS, and ensuring cash controls are followed in line with PLCB regulations.

A friendly, accurate service approach is essential as you help guests enjoy the sweet Hershey experience. Must be 18+, able to pass RAMP during probation, and willing to work flexible evenings and weekends in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wines and beers and ability to serve in compliance with PLCB regulations.
• Proven ability to work with other staff in a positive manner.
• Attention to accuracy and safety in beverage service.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Knowing the proper preparation of all alcoholic drinks which are on the menu
• Operating the point of sale system
• Understanding and adhering to all accounting and cash control responsibilities within 60 days of hire
• Receiving and storing beverage products in a proper and orderly manner
• Ensuring that glassware and bar utensils are washed and presentable before they are used
• Completing all side work as set forth in the operating standards
• Completing all opening and closing responsibilities
• Ensuring the bar par is adequate and that the liquor requisition is according to standard
• Assisting in the training of other staff
• Assessing customer needs and preferences, and making recommendations
• Completing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) within probation period

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of wines and beers.
• Must demonstrate a proven ability to work with other employees in a positive manner.
• Must be able to service/dispense alcohol in line with established PLCB regulations.
• Should have a proven ability to work in an accurate and safe manner.

Job Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to stand for the duration of shift.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including lunch and dinner meal periods, according to operational needs.
• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
