Job summary

Hershey Lodge, part of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company, seeks a full-time bartender to craft drinks per menu, operate the POS, and ensure safe, compliant service. The role includes maintaining a clean bar, assisting staff, and supporting guest needs with a friendly Hershey hospitality approach.

Applicants should be at least 18, pass the RAMP alcohol server test, and be prepared for flexible, evenings/weekends shifts in a union environment at a premier Hershey resort.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic drinks per menu and standard recipes

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Knowing the proper preparation of all alcoholic drinks which are on the menu
• Operating the point of sale system
• Understanding and adhering to all accounting and cash control responsibilities within 60 days of hire
• Receiving and storing beverage products in a proper and orderly manner
• Ensuring that glassware and bar utensils are washed and presentable before they are used
• Completing all side work as set forth in the operating standards
• Completing all opening and closing responsibilities
• Ensuring the bar par is adequate and that the liquor requisition is according to standard
• Assisting in the training of other staff
• Assessing customer needs and preferences, and making recommendations
• Completing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) within probation period

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Working knowledge of wines and beers.
• Must demonstrate a proven ability to work with other employees in a positive manner.
• Must be able to service/dispense alcohol in line with established PLCB regulations.
• Should have a proven ability to work in an accurate and safe manner.

Job Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to stand for the duration of shift.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including lunch and dinner meal periods, according to operational needs.
• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
