Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking a Bartender for the Bossier City location. You will be responsible for crafting beverages, handling cash, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced casino environment.

The role requires knowledge of bar operations, compliance with ABC and gaming regulations, and the ability to work under time pressure while maintaining sanitation standards and a high level of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of beverage experience.
• Must be able to work in an alcohol and smoking environment.
• Must be able to obtain licensure as required by Louisiana gaming authorities or Live's standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up bars and stock as needed.
• Handle all cash transactions accurately.
• Open and close inventories of stock.
• Take guest orders and deliver promptly.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.

Responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sales. Ensure consistent quality of products. Prepares beverages with a sense of quality and flare to enhance the experience of the guest during their visit with Live! Casino & Hotel.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Responsible for setting up bars.
• Responsible for handling all cash transactions.
• Responsible for all opening and closing inventories of all stock.
• Responsible to take orders from guest and return these orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Responsible to have knowledge of guests limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills To Help You Succeed

• Ability to read write and understand basic instructions.
• Knowledge of all bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws and regulations and gaming laws.
• Able to handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.
• Ability to communicate with all departments and other team members.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
• Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
• Knowledge of bar operation.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in beverage field.
• You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
• Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live's operating standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
