Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking a Bartender (Service Bar) for our Bossier City location. The bartender will be responsible for all aspects of beverage sales and service, ensuring quality preparation and service to enhance guest experiences.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, prior experience in a high-volume establishment, and must obtain a Bossier City Alcohol Beverage Operator certification. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle cash transactions.

Qualifications

• Bossier City Alcohol Beverage Operator (ABO) certification before the first day of work is required.
• Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year experience as a bartender in a high volume operation.
• Exposure to an alcohol and smoking environment and ability to work in such an environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up bars.
• Handle all cash transactions and conduct closing inventories.
• Take orders from guests and servers; serve accurately and timely.

Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic instructions in English

Ability to make change from sales

Overview

The Service Bartender is responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sales and service at bar outlets throughout the casino. The bartender ensures consistent quality of products, prepares and serves beverages with a sense of quality and unparalleled flair to enhance the guest experience during their visit to Live! Casino and Hotel.

Responsibilities

Where you'll make an impact:

• Responsible for setting up bars
• Responsible for handling all cash transactions
• Responsible for all opening and closing inventories of all stock
• Take orders from guests and servers, serving them accurately and in a timely manner
• Keep area clean and orderly
• Monitor supply levels and assess stocking needs
• Direct and observe bar back staff
• Know guests’ limitations and company policy regarding limitations
• Ensure guests receive a favorable gaming experience
• Consistently maintain appearance standards, as established
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, liquors, wines, beers, and ales; portray an “ask me” image with knowledge
• Knowledge of all bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws and regulations, gaming laws, and bar operations
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred; completion of professional bartending training desired; mixology training a plus
• Experience: minimum six (6) months to one (1) year experience as a bartender in a high volume operation
• Exposure to an alcohol and smoking environment and ability to work in such an environment
• Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards
