Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking a Live! Bartender to greet guests and provide prompt, courteous beverage service with energy and a friendly attitude.

You’ll prepare and deliver drinks for guests and servers, maintain cleanliness, and follow gaming regulations while working nights and weekends in a busy casino environment.

Qualifications

• Must be RAMP certified.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain licensure as required by the State Gaming Agency.
• Must be able to work in smoke-filled environments.
• Must be able to understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
• Must have full working knowledge of POS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages for guests and cocktail servers to provide guest service.
• Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
• Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control.
• Inputs and controls ordering through register during each transaction maintaining receipts for guests.
• Responsible for all bank and cash handling procedures and variance policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest and work areas including removing empty glasses/bottles and cleaning ashtrays.
• Abides by all State, Federal, and Company liquor regulations for minors and intoxicated guests.
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state gaming regulations.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Understands PLCB regulations and company appearance standards.

Physical Requirements

• 24/7 operation requiring extended hours and the ability and willingness meet the applicant’s schedules when needed.
• Casino is over 200,000 square feet and requires ability and energy to move about it with a true sense of urgency.
• Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels
• Use of going up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and elevators
