Job summary

Wild River Family Entertainment Center is seeking a bartender to mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a lively entertainment setting. You will take orders, prepare cocktails, pour wine or beer, and handle payments while maintaining a clean, engaging lounge atmosphere.

Applicants should be comfortable in a noisy, smoke-prone environment, understand Arizona liquor laws, and have flexible availability. A high school diploma and some experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Open availability to cover shifts.

Responsibilities

• Take food & drink orders from customers.
• Mix cocktails and other drinks.
• Serve wine, beer, and other beverages.
• Collect payment for drinks served.
• Submit liquor orders to Supervisor.
• Arrange bottles and glasses for display.
• Garnish drinks with fruits.
• Maintain a lounge-type environment and provide excellent service.
• Maintain accurate stock and assist as needed.

SUMMARY

Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of the bar by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take food & drink orders from customers.
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
• Collect money for drinks served.
• Submits orders or requisitions for liquor and supplies to the Supervisor
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display.
• Slice and pit fruits for garnishing drinks.
• Maintain a lounge-type environment
• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons of the establishment.
• Maintain accurate stock
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Must be able to stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to work in an environment containing excessive noise and smoke.
• Must know about the Arizona Liquor Laws.
• Must have an open availability to cover shifts or work during regular days off, if needed.
• Ability to do basic math; provide correct change when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• All applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
• Must have a current Health Card or be able to obtain a Health Card.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• 6 months of work experience in a related field is preferred
