Job summary

HRI Hospitality seeks a Bartender to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced bar setting. You will prepare cocktails, pours, wine, and beer while engaging guests with recommendations and a warm welcome.

The role requires at least 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant experience, strong customer service, and knowledge of spirits. Candidates should be able to stand long shifts and handle cash securely.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bartending certification preferred where applicable.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong customer service, knowledge of drinks, and ability to handle cash.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages per standard recipes.
• Greet guests, take orders, and offer recommendations.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization; restock supplies as needed.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash responsibly.
• Verify guest IDs to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report equipment or maintenance needs promptly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Bartender

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Assistant F&B Manager / F&B Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bartending certification preferred (where applicable).

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and state/local regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
