Job summary

RH Hospitality is seeking a knowledgeable Bartender to deliver a refined beverage experience reflecting the highest hospitality standards. You will guide guests through their beverage journey with exceptional service, craftsmanship, and detailed wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of bartending experience in upscale settings, a strong understanding of beverages, and a commitment to responsible service. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, classic and contemporary cocktails and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Commitment to responsible alcohol service practices, food safety and sanitation standards, applicable regulations, and RH policies.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of application at the time of hire.
  • Meets the minimum legal age to serve alcohol, work shifts and perform responsibilities per local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm and inviting experience by delivering First Class Service that reflects RH's hospitality standards.
  • Prepare and present cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with consistent quality and attention to detail.
  • Guide guests through RH's beverage offerings with thoughtful recommendations and wine pairings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar by replenishing inventory, glassware, garnishes and supplies.
  • Process guest payments accurately using the POS while maintaining confidentiality and cash handling rules.
  • Complete opening and closing responsibilities to ensure the bar is ready for service and secured after shifts.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by engaging guests and presenting RH's food and beverage offerings knowledgeably.
  • Support a guest-focused service environment by anticipating needs and keeping a service-ready bar.
  • Collaborate with location leadership to manage inventory, monitor quality, minimize waste, and meet financial goals.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues as needed while following liquor laws.
  • Follow all RH policies and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

In this role, you will guide guests through each phase of their beverage journey with exceptional service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering luxury hospitality while cultivating their expertise in wine, spirits and cocktails within a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create a warm and inviting experience by delivering First Class Service that reflects RH's standards of hospitality
  • Prepare and present cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with consistent quality, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Create memorable beverage experiences by guiding guests through RH's beverage offerings with thoughtful recommendations, wine pairings and knowledgeable service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar by replenishing and rotating inventory, glassware, garnishes and supplies to support uninterrupted service
  • Process guest payments accurately using the point-of-sale system while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with cash handling procedures
  • Complete opening and closing responsibilities to ensure the bar is prepared for service and properly secured at the end of each shift
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by engaging warmly with guests, modeling polished personal presentation and demonstrating knowledge of RH's food and beverage offerings
  • Support an efficient, guest-focused service environment by anticipating guest and team needs while maintaining an organized, service-ready bar
  • Partner with location leadership to manage beverage inventory, monitor product quality, minimize waste and support operational and financial goals
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency and sound judgment while escalating issues appropriately
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines and comply with applicable liquor laws and company policies
OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale or luxury hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, classic and contemporary cocktails and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Passion for expanding knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and seasonal beverage offerings through ongoing learning and development
  • Commitment to responsible alcohol service practices, food safety and sanitation standards, applicable regulations, and RH policies
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of application at the time of hire
  • Meets the minimum legal age required to serve alcohol, work designated shifts and perform the full scope of job responsibilities in accordance with local labor and safety regulations
  • Commitment to high standards of personal appearance, including adherence to uniform guidelines, grooming and hygiene practices to ensure a professional presentation to guests
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and variable shifts as business needs require
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequent stooping, bending, and reaching, both overhead and below bar height
  • Lift or move items up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniques
  • Stand and walk for extended periods as part of daily work activities
  • Safely ascend and descend stairs, with or without carrying beverages, glassware or service equipment
  • Navigate busy, low-lit bar and dining environments with attention to safety and control
  • Commitment to proper safety and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen environment
