Job summary

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel in Eagan, MN is seeking a bartender to deliver drinks with accuracy and hospitality in an upscale, fast-paced setting. You will maintain knowledge of menus and wines, and assist servers using MICROS while upholding Omni standards.

This full-time role offers starting pay of $15.82/hour, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401k and PTO accrual, plus spa and dining discounts. Must be 18+, with 2 years of bartending experience and relevant alcohol training.

Qualifications

• Must be at a minimum of 18 years old.
• Two years bartending experience.
• Previous Bartending and guest service experience required, upscale hotel or resort experience is strongly preferred.
• Must have and maintain current TIPS, ServSafe or equivalent alcohol training.
• MICROS Experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must consistently demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork-oriented, and exhibit a positive attitude.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Master drink recipes according to brand standards.
• Maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Supports new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the outlet to support Omni's Covid-19 related sanitation protocols.
• Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartender’s manual. Jiggers pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
• Attend to all needs of the guest during their visit to the restaurant.
• Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Alert the manager immediately if a member or guest has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant/bar area.
• Send orders using MICROS system,present accurate check to guest and process payment.
• Complete all opening and closing side work.
• Ensure consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
• Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
• Ensuring all products are within date and using the FIFO method of storage.
• Monitor inventory, place, and receive warehouse orders daily and ensure proper par levels of all products.
• Notify managers immediately if there are discrepancies.
• Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
