Texas Live! in Arlington is seeking a Bartender to deliver high-energy, guest-focused service in a busy, entertainment-forward venue.

You will mix cocktails, serve beer and wine, take orders, handle payments, check IDs, and promote specials. The role requires staying knowledgeable about drinks and maintaining professional, friendly interaction with guests and staff.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience bartending at high-volume bars or nightclubs.
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, garnishments and glassware.
  • Fluent English; other languages preferred.
  • Good communication with guests, cooks, staff and supervisors.
  • Alcohol awareness certification or food service permit as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism.
  • Mix cocktails and other drinks according to recipes; serve wine and beer.
  • Take beverage orders from guests or staff and handle payments.
  • Check IDs to ensure minimum age and present promotions to guests.
  • Be well-versed in products to guide guest experience and upsell items.
  • Complete side work and maintain safety and cleanliness around the bar.

Job description

Born from the toughest sport on dirt, the flagship PBR bar at Texas Live! is the largest PBR venue in the country. The venue is a powerhouse concept that brings an authentic country experience to Arlington, marrying an electric combination of “cowboy cool” and big-time, Texas-sized entertainment. Featuring two mechanical bulls, the country’s flagship PBR exceeds 1,500-capacity and includes a 7,000 square foot balcony overlooking Arlington Backyard. Throw in cold beer, hard drinks, and a little bull ridin' and it's every cowboy and cowgirl's nighttime oasis.

Bartender Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide an energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism.
  • Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of the proper steps of service.
  • Offer polite, professional, and courteous customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests.
  • Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to drink recipe.
  • Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or from guests.
  • Communicate effectively, clearly, patiently and humorously with co-workers and guests.
  • Complete all side work as assigned.
  • Be well-versed in the products in order to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.
  • Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption.
  • Present and encourage current promotions to guests.
  • Accurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guest.
  • Accurately account for all sales and receipts and record tips as outlined in company policies and procedures.
Bartender Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs.
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
  • Formal bartending training preferred.
  • Must meet state legal age requirements.
  • Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
The Bartender position requires the ability to perform the following:
  • Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, boxes, bottles, ect.).
  • Moving about the bar, lounge, and kitchen efficiently and safely.
  • Handling food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely.
  • Bending, standing, stooping, kneeling.
