Job summary

De Twee Bruggen is seeking an experienced bartender in St. Louis to join their lively country bar. You will mix cocktails, serve beer and wine, take orders, and ensure a memorable guest experience with friendly, professional service.

The role requires 1–2 years in high-volume bars, knowledge of drinks, and the ability to work nights and weekends. Fluency in English is required; alcohol and food service certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in bartending at high-volume bars and/or nightclubs.
• Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
• Formal bartending training preferred.
• Must meet state legal age requirements.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Accurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guest.
• Accurately account for all sales and receipts and record tips as outlined in company policies and procedures.
• Be well-versed in the products to guide the guest experience and upsell food and beverage items.
• Check guests’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption.
• Complete all side work as assigned.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Maintain product knowledge to enhance guest experience.

Bartender Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
