Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for serving all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The role requires a personable, professional attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to liquor laws and regulations, especially regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Follow bar notes and menus to provide accurate service.
  • Take and process drink orders, prepare drinks using recipes, and manage portions.
  • Set up and stock the bar with supplies and perishables.
  • Greet guests courteously and detect guest inebriation, escalating as needed.
  • Secure all beverages and perform closing duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least six months of bartending experience in a high-volume setting.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and handling revenue.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of beverages and willingness to learn more.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to obtain necessary food handling and TABC certificates.
  • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Bartending school certification preferred.
