Job summary

A leading entertainment services company in Cleveland is seeking a Bartender responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The role demands excellent guest service, cash handling, and bartending skills. Preferred candidates will have bartending school experience and must be flexible with their schedule, including nights and weekends. This is an evergreen role with an hourly pay of $5.50 plus tips, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Position Summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role pays an hourly rate of $5.50 and is tip eligible. Evergreen role: applications accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co‑workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre‑shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and state/federal regulations pertaining to alcohol distribution.
• Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available, and be able to suggestively upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
• Check guests’ ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Communicate a cut‑off to a guest as required.
• Listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns.
• De‑escalate intoxicated guest situations; contact management or security as required if the guest becomes confrontational or uses extreme profanity.
• Contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision‑making.
• Request additional product or restock product as required.
• Handle cash accurately; employee is responsible for issued bank at his/her bar.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station at all times; ensure bar equipment is clean and well‑maintained.
• Other duties as assigned, such as setup and breakdown of bar equipment and assisting with organization of the cooler.
