Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for serving all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled based on business needs.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00-$18.00 and is tip-eligible.

This position will remain open until August 15, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Meet the company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations.
• Learn about various beer, wine, and spirits, and suggestively upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards.
• Verify guest age by checking IDs in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate a cut-off time for alcohol service as required.
• Respond to customer requests or concerns promptly.
• De-escalate situations involving intoxicated guests.
• Contact management or security if guests become confrontational or use inappropriate language.
• Seek management assistance if unable to resolve issues.
• Restock and request additional products as needed.
• Handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station at all times.
• Ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and organization of the cooler.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.
