Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adheres to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up the bar, stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, garnishes, glassware, ice, and produce.
• Maintains stock and prepares fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables.
• Greets guests courteously.
• Takes and processes drink orders, mixes drinks, garnishes, and practices portion control.
• Checks IDs for guests.
• Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
• Ensures vouchers are properly executed.
• Secures beverage and food items, cash drops, and deposits; secures the bank.
• Performs cleaning tasks to meet health standards and keeps the work area organized.
• Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
