AC Hotel by Marriott Cleveland Beachwood is seeking a Bartender to join our team in Orange Village, Ohio. This on-site, part-time role offers an opportunity to craft memorable guest experiences in a stylish hotel setting.

You will greet guests, take drink and food orders, prepare cocktails, maintain a clean bar, and share knowledge of wine and cocktails with guests. We value excellent service, clear communication, and a collaborative spirit.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months related bartending experience or equivalent education.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong ability to establish rapport with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing sidework per checklists.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding drinks and menu items.
• Take drink orders from customers or Servers and prepare cocktails.
• Take food orders from guests and submit to kitchen for preparation.
• Record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
• Wash glassware as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of current food and beverage offerings, wine lists, and cocktails.
• Keep the bar and surrounding areas clean.

Job Responsibilities

As a Bartender at the AC Hotel Cleveland Beachwood it is not just about mixing drinks. Instead, we want to build an experience that is memorable and unique. Their role is to go beyond the bar itself and take ownership of guest service more broadly and do what needs to be done. Bartenders will use their knowledge and expertise to make the bar look and function flawlessly.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

• Perform opening and closing sidework per checklists.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding drinks and menu items.
• Take drink orders from customers or Servers. Prepare cocktails in accordance with standard beverage recipes.
• Take food orders from guests and submit to kitchen for preparation.
• Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
• Wash glassware as needed.
• Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings, including wine lists and cocktail menu.
• Provide current information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel and surrounding areas.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated Bartender with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations. They should be passionate about the guest service experience, but also have an eye for detail. It is also important that you have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with guests and colleagues.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• 3 to 6 months related experience; One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills
