Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking an enthusiastic Bartender to craft cocktails and beverages while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will prepare drinks, handle food runs, stock the bar, and maintain a clean, organized bar area. Strong team collaboration and ownership of tasks are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous hospitality experience required.
• 2 years bartending experience in high-volume bar/restaurant.
• General knowledge of cocktail crafting and mixology fundamentals.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to use technology (POS, tablets, computers).
• Team experience preferred.
• Ability to work quickly in a clean, organized and effective manner.
• Sense of ownership in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests efficiently following steps of service and recommend beverages.
• Food running to bar area guests as needed.
• Prep and stock bar for service period to ensure smooth operations.
• Clean glasses, tools, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings and ingredients.
• Make beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor offerings.
• Process payments following cash-handling procedures.
• Keep bar area and coolers clean and organized.

The Bartender will be responsible for making alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by following recipes and delivering high-quality food and drinks in a clean and friendly environment. The Bartender will also be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that are consistent and continually in accordance with the service standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development.

What you have

• High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
• Previous hospitality experience
• 2 years of bartending experience in high volume bar or restaurant

What you’ll do

• Serve guests in an efficient manner while following steps of service, preparing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and making beverage recommendations
• Food running to serve bar and bar area guests
• Prep and stock bar for appropriate service period to ensure successful bar service
• Clean glasses, tools, utensils, and bar equipment
• Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, including ingredients, preparations, and accompaniments
• Curate guests’ bar experience by making recommendations based on guest preferences and needs
• Maintain knowledge of beverages including beer, wine, and liquor
• Collect and process payment for food and beverages served, making sure to follow proper cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area and coolers
• Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
