Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking two part-time Bar Backs for the Trilith Guesthouse. The Bar Back will support bartenders, maintain stocked bar, and uphold Trilith Guesthouse and Mainsail standards.

You will assist with beverage prep, service, and guest knowledge, while keeping bar area clean and organized. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospitality experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant or bar setting.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience working on a team in a hospitality setting.
• Ability to use technology, e.g., POS systems and tablets/iPads.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• A sense of ownership in everything that you do.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to bartenders in a timely manner.
• Prepare beverage garnishes and mixes.
• Ensure proper stocking and rotation of beer, liquor, wine, and consumables.
• Clean glasses, utensils, tools, and other bar equipment.
• Run food from kitchen to bar and bar area to ensure guests receive their food in a timely manner.
• Provide guests with menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation, and prices.
• Maintain opening and closing par levels for beer, wine, liquor, and consumables.
• Assist in the receiving and unloading of bar items. Ensure proper stocking.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar, cooler, and bar storage area.
• Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned by the manager.

We are looking for two (2) Part-Time Bar Backs for the Trilith Guesthouse.

The Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with Trilith Guesthouse service standards and Mainsail Lodging & Development standards. The Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean, and well-stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required, but the focus will be on the support staff position.

What you have

• High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
