Job summary

Embassy Minneapolis is seeking a Bartender to prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine and other beverages with accuracy and guest-focused service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires bar knowledge, mask of mixology, and a commitment to responsible service.

The position reports to the Assistant F&B Manager / F&B Manager and involves maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar, handling payments, and upholding all safety and sanitation standards in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bartending certification preferred where applicable.
• Minimum 1 year bartending or high-volume bar/restaurant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain bar area cleanliness and organization, including equipment and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies during the shift.
• Process payments using POS; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify ID for legal drinking age and follow sanitation and safety policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
