Job summary

Lakefront Anchorage, a Millennium Hotels & Resorts property, is seeking a bartender to deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to a collaborative team. This on-site role supports daily bar operations and guest experiences in a scenic Alaska setting.

You will craft drinks, engage guests, maintain stock and cleanliness, and uphold safety and brand standards in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of one year of bartending experience and a high school diploma are required.

• Must identify signs of intoxication and refuse service when needed.

About the Role: Bartender

As our Bartender, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

This role is ideal for someone who brings a passion for hospitality, takes ownership, and is committed to continuous improvement and results.

Your Impact

You will support day-to-day operations, support team performance, and ensure service standards are consistently delivered. You’ll act as a bridge between leadership and frontline teams—driving accountability, engagement, and results.

Compliance & Standards

• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank. Cleans banquet bar at the end of each function.
• Performs general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a function basis.

Technical / Role-Specific Requirements

• Ability to remember, recite, and promotes the variety of menu items.
• Working knowledge of spirits, wine and beer and standard drink recipes.
• Works well under pressure.
• Must be able to identify signs of intoxication and willing to tactfully refuse service based on observation.

• At least one or more years of Bartending experience required.
