Clyde’s of Mark Center in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver exceptional service in a busy venue. The role includes bar maintenance, order taking, cash handling, garnishes, and ensuring accurate inventories throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Friendly, hardworking, hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain high service levels.
• Ability to solve problems with courtesy, dignity and respect.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible availability for late nights, weekends, holidays, and weekdays.
• Prior bartending experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Wipe, clean, and polish the bar counter, shelves, bottles, glasses, and equipment.
• Inventory and stock the bar for setup with beverages, garnishes, and supplies.
• Receive drink orders from patrons and wait staff.
• Mix ingredients according to standard recipes.
• Ring drink and food orders into the register.
• Count inventories and restock the bar to closing par levels.
• Stock clean glassware behind the bar.
• Slice, peel, and arrange garnishes.
• Disassemble and clean blenders and equipment.
• Receive and handle payment for employee shift meals.
• Count and reconcile banks at shift start/end.
• Check IDs to verify drinking age.
• Socialize with patrons to foster a friendly atmosphere.
• Break down and clean the bar at day end.
