Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is seeking energetic Bartenders to serve guests at concerts, weddings, private functions, and other events within a premier cultural destination in Grand Rapids, MI. You’ll deliver outstanding hospitality and work in a fast-paced setting.

Join a collaborative Culinary Arts & Events team focused on creating memorable experiences. Flex scheduling, evening/weekend shifts, and opportunities for growth are available as part of our vibrant hospitality program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a welcoming and professional attitude.
• Follow standardized recipes and pour controls to ensure quality and consistency.
• Process orders and payments through POS systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with liquor laws.
• Support concerts, weddings, private events, and special programs.
• Assist with event setup, service, and guest engagement as needed.
• Help create a memorable experience for every guest.

What You'll Do

Required

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules
• Reliable transportation

Preferred

• 2+ years of bartending experience
• Experience in high-volume hospitality or event environments
• Knowledge of POS systems
• Strong mixology and beverage service knowledge
