Job summary

Cambria Hotel Nashville Midtown is seeking a motivated Bartender to deliver memorable hospitality from greeting to departure. You will extend hours to day/lunch service and create a welcoming bar experience for guests.

The role requires knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails and spirits, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and engage with guests at the bar.
  • Maintain bar setup daily.
  • Guide guests through the menu with descriptive selling.
  • Take and confirm orders accurately.
  • Be the master of the bar, enhancing conversation.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff.
  • Assist guests with concerns and resolve issues.
  • Present bills promptly and accurately.
  • Stock beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Prepare garnishes and fresh ingredients daily.
  • Input orders at POS and generate guest checks.
  • Lock up and store beverages and equipment; manage cash drops.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer‑focused Bartender to join our team at Cambria Hotel Nashville Midtown. The bartender will expand our hours of operation to day/lunch time hours and deliver memorable hospitality to our guests through genuine, personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
  • Maintain proper and adequate set‑up of the bar daily
  • Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu
  • Be accurate in order taking, confirming all special requests
  • Serve as the master of the bar, understanding details to enhance the conversation
  • Collaborate with restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist guests who have concerns, guiding them to a satisfactory resolution
  • Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
  • Requisition and stock all beer, wine, and spirits
  • Maintain stock, cut, store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
  • Lock up and store all beverages, food, and other equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank

Compensation

$14.00 – $16.00 per hour
