Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring part-time bartenders for Courtyard by Marriott Titusville—Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL. You will mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcohol drinks, ensuring responsible service and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

This is a tipped position with base pay of $14.00/hour plus tips; top performers earn more. Must be 21+, with 2 years of front-of-house experience and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of two years’ front-of-house experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing.
• Previous experience using a computerized POS system.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receives drink orders from patrons or servers, mixes and serves alcohol and non-alcohol drinks following standard recipes and using company standard proportions.
• Seeks to serve beverages responsibly, checks identifications, and adheres to all alcohol service policies.
• Enters orders into the POS, processes payments, and makes correct change.
• Maintains bar stock, inventories, and cleans bar equipment.
• Greet guests, explain menus, take food and beverage orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff.
• Performs opening/closing and side work duties and ensures cleanliness and organization of bar area.

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring part-time Bartenders to join our team at Courtyard at Kennedy in Titusville, Florida. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly while providing an excellent guest experience.

Hourly wage can average $24.00 / hr (base pay of $14.00 + tips), with top performers earning much more.

What will you do?

• Receives drink orders from patrons or servers, mixes and serves alcohol and non-alcohol drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions; serves wine and bottled beer or draws draught beer.
• Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Enters drink orders into the cash register, collects payment from patrons for drinks served, and makes correct change.
• Completes sales and inventory reports accurately.
• Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
• Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock.
• Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answering menu questions, and collecting food and beverage orders.
• Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen and bar staff.
• Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning.
• Cross train in the multiple food and beverage outlets on property.
• Assist with serving as needed.

Physical requirements

• Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift.
• Constant walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift stock up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Exposure to moderate to high environmental noise levels during busy times.
• Ability work outside in various environmental conditions.
