Job Description

The Bartender position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers, delivering beverage service to guests and cocktail servers, and maintaining excellent customer relations.

• Provide exceptional customer service and handle interactions professionally, including with difficult customers and coworkers.
• Maintain company funds and equipment in an organized manner.
• Pour drinks according to established recipes; keep the work environment clean and safe.
• Ensure compliance with “Project 21 – Minors in Casino.”
• Demonstrate product offerings and ordering procedures.
• Monitor supply levels at the bar.
• Report problems or issues to the supervisor.
• Manage the security and accuracy of assigned bank, accountable for overages and shortages.
• Open and close the bar following procedures.
• Supervise and provide work direction to bar attendants.

Qualifications

• Ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of bar equipment operation.
• Ability to direct cocktail servers.
• Must obtain and maintain appropriate licenses/certifications per regulations, including Indiana ABC Permit.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• At least 2 years’ experience in high-volume cocktail service, preferably in a hotel or casino environment, or completion of an accredited bartending course.
